Southern Spars have been generously donating high-quality prepreg carbon fibre and composite products to the team since early 2011. As an industry leader in marine composites, their association with the team has been hugely beneficial, enabling the team to work with products that greatly increase the car’s capabilities, that we would not normally be able to afford. Being exposed to products such as these also has significant advantages to the young engineers working with the team, as they are able to learn useful manufacture and design skills that they would not have otherwise picked up in university. Southern Spars’ products form the backbone of our chassis, aerodynamics package and so much more of the car - we truly could not do without them!
