The year 2025 was another standout chapter for the University of Auckland’s Formula Student team, F:SAE 47, at the Formula Student Australasia competition. This past December, the squad arrived in Melbourne with a meticulously built car and high expectations, ready to go head-to-head against the region's top universities. The event challenged the team across eight distinct categories, including both static and dynamic trials, to evaluate everything from the car's raw performance to the underlying engineering logic and business strategy.
Following five intense days of presentation and track action, the team’s hard work was rewarded with an impressive set of results. F:SAE 47 secured 1st place in Engineering Design and Acceleration, alongside 2nd place finishes in Skidpad and Endurance. These awards are the direct result of a year defined by seamless collaboration, technical precision, and countless late nights in the workshop. Every member should be incredibly proud of this collective success and the dedication it took to get there. Well done!
